NEW DELHI, AUG 26, 2026: THE PMFME Conclave 2026 organised by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) on 24-25 August 2026 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, concluded today with a focus on sharing implementation experiences, strengthening stakeholder capacity and recognising excellence under the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme.

The two-day Conclave brought together 500+ stakeholders from across the country, including representatives from States and Union Territories, State Nodal Departments/Agencies, District Nodal Officers (DNOs), District Resource Persons (DRPs), banks and financial institutions, Ministries and Government organisations, technical institutions, industry bodies, incubation centres and PMFME beneficiaries.

The second day commenced with a PMFME Experience Sharing Session, where five States shared their best practices and implementation experiences. DNOs and DRPs also shared their field experiences, highlighting successful interventions and innovative approaches adopted for effective implementation of the Scheme at the grassroots level.

This was followed by a session on "NIFTEMs - State-of-the-Art Facilities - Handholding PMFME Implementation", featuring Dr. Harinder Singh Oberoi, Director, NIFTEM-Kundli and Prof. V. Palanimuthu, Director, NIFTEM-Thanjavur, which highlighted the role of technical institutions in providing technology, training and handholding support to micro food processing enterprises.

A dedicated Training Session on SNA Sparsh was also organised to strengthen the capacity of State-level stakeholders. The programme further featured a motivational session by Shiv Khera, who shared insights on leadership, entrepreneurship and success.

PMFME Awards recognise excellence across States, banks and grassroots functionaries

A key highlight of the concluding day was the PMFME Award Ceremony, recognising top-performing stakeholders for their contribution to the implementation of the Scheme. Awards were presented to top-performing States and Union Territories across the Large, Medium and Small States/UTs categories, as well as banks across all categories. SRLMs and SULMs were also recognised for their contribution to the Scheme.

The Ministry also recognised outstanding DNOs and DRPs, with the top two DNOs and DRPs from Large States and one DNO and DRP each from Medium States and Small States/UTs receiving awards for their exemplary performance.

The Conclave also provided a platform for showcasing the achievements of PMFME beneficiaries and strengthening market linkages.

The Conclave 2026 provided a national platform for stakeholders to share experiences, recognise excellence and strengthen convergence across the PMFME ecosystem. It reaffirmed the Ministry's commitment to building a stronger, more inclusive and market-oriented ecosystem for micro food processing enterprises and supporting their transition into sustainable and competitive enterprises.
