NEW DELHI, AUG 08, 2026: THE Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA), under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, in collaboration with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), organised a Stakeholder Engagement Session with Companies' Nodal Officers on the Integrated IEPFA Portal 2.0. The session served as an interactive platform to demonstrate the proposed Claimant and e-Verification Report (EVR) modules of the new portal and to obtain valuable feedback from Companies' Nodal Officers ahead of its rollout.

The session was led by Anita Shah Akella, CEO, IEPFA and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, along with senior officials of IEPFA, the NeGD project team, and Companies' Nodal Officers. Participants were provided with a detailed walkthrough of the modernised portal, which introduces several digital-first features aimed at simplifying the investor claim process and improving operational efficiency.

Key features presented during the session included digital KYC integration, pre-filled Form IEPF-5, an entitlement search facility, a simplified three-step workflow for filing e-Verification Reports (EVRs), and provisions relating to Rule 7(3) for additional (delay) fees. The implementation roadmap was also shared with stakeholders, outlining User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in August 2026, stakeholder training in September, pilot implementation in October, and the planned launch of the Integrated IEPFA Portal 2.0 in November 2026.

Companies' Nodal Officers actively participated in the discussions and shared practical suggestions based on their operational experience. Recommendations included Aadhaar eKYC address validation with companies records, mandatory KYC verification of Authorised Representatives, a comprehensive validation checklist before issuance of Entitlement Letters, bulk DSC and eSign capabilities, integration of approved IEPF Form-4 data into the EVR module, share valuation based on NSE and BSE data with application of the lower value, and automated alerts to identify frequent address changes as a fraud prevention measure.

The suggestions and recommendations received during the session have been shared with the NeGD team for consideration while finalising the portal. The stakeholder engagement forms part of IEPFA's ongoing efforts to develop the Integrated IEPFA Portal 2.0 through continuous engagement with Companies' Nodal Officers and other stakeholders. The Authority remains committed to leveraging technology to simplify claim settlement, strengthen transparency, improve service delivery, and build a secure, efficient, and investor-centric digital ecosystem.

IEPFA under Ministry of Corporate Affairs is dedicated to promoting investor awareness and protection through sustained outreach, investor education, and strategic collaborations. The Authority continues to introduce technology-enabled reforms and citizen-centric initiatives to facilitate efficient claim settlement and strengthen investor services across the country.
