Hero MotoCorp to resume operations from May 17

NEW DELHI, MAY 15, 2021: INDIA'S largest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp on Friday announced plans towards a gradual resumption of operations by starting single shift production at three of its plants from May 17.
Hero MotoCorp’s Gurugram and Dharuhera facilities in Haryana and another in Haridwar, Uttarakhand will see staggered operations from Monday.
“The company continues to monitor the situation closely and the remaining manufacturing plants and other facilities will also open up gradually,” it said. Safety and hygiene protocols are in place at all plant locations and offices in preparation for the gradual resumption of operations.
The company had announced plans to halt production from April 22-May 2, later extending it to May 16.
Meanwhile, the corporate vaccination drive has seen more than 90 per cent of Hero MotoCorp employees above the age of 45 already receiving their shots.
