Nazara Tech to acquire 69.82% stake in gaming firm Publishme

MUMBAI, JUN 17, 2021: NAZARA Technologies has signed a binding term sheet to invest about Rs. 20 crore for acquiring 69.82 per cent stake in Arrakis Tanitim Organizasyon Pazarlama, the parent company of gaming firm Publishme, by way of primary and secondary transaction via its subsidiary.

Publishme is a full-service games marketing and publishing agency which works extensively with gaming publishers in Turkey and MENA (Middle East and North African) region. They have a strong clientele including Garena, My.Games, Lokum Games and also works with several brands in Turkey and MENA region including Turkcell, RedBull, Hepsiburada.com, KFC, ASUS, and Yemeksepeti.

"MENA is a key geography for us and this acquisition will help us in establishing ourselves as a key player in the region,” said Nazara Founder and Joint MD, Mr Nitish Mittersain.

Nazara, already present in India and across emerging and developed markets in Africa and North Africa, will expand its international footprint in the freemium segment.

It will aim to build local execution capabilities cutting across key growth segments namely, freemium, gamified learning and esports.
