SJVN signs with IREDA to expand renewable portfolio

NEW DELHI, DEC 8, 2020: State-run power producer SJVN inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) for green energy projects, said the government on Monday.
IREDA with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, will provide its services to SJVN, under the Ministry of Power, for renewable energy projects and will also assist in developing an action plan to create and acquire such projects for the next 5 years.
As per the MoU, IREDA will undertake techno-financial due diligence of renewable energy, energy efficiency and conservation projects for SJVN.
Mr Nand Lal Sharma, CMD, SJVN, said they are committed to contribute in realising the renewable energy target of 175 GW by 2022 set by the prime minister. They are also developing 100 MW Dholera Solar Power Project and 100 MW Raghanseda Solar Power Project in Gujarat for this.
