MDL pays interim dividend of Rs 92.56Cr for FY21

NEW DELHI, MAR 04, 2021: DEFENCE Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) handed over a dividend cheque of Rs. 92.56 crore for 2020-21 to Defence Minister Mr Rajnath Singh on Wednesday.

MDL, India's leading warships and submarine builder, has paid a total dividend of Rs. 138.73 crore to the government in the ongoing financial year, including the final dividend of Rs. 46.17 crore for 2019-20.

The company has declared interim dividend of Rs. 109.11 crore at 54.10 per cent of equity capital for FY 2020-21, government share being 84.83 per cent.

MDL Chairman and Managing Director Mr Narayan Prasad also briefed the Defence Minister about the delivery of the third Scorpene submarine Karanj that will be commissioned on March 10, and about the sea trials of the first ship, Visakhapatnam, of Project P-15B which is due for delivery later this year.
