MCA invites research proposals on issue of 'Funding Research'

NEW DELHI , AUG 24, 2017: The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has invited reasearch proposals on the subject of 'Funding Research and Studies, Workshops and Conferences'. As per the format made public, relevant details are as follws:
a. Title - a brief, accurate and comprehensive title to the reasearch paper, to describe the area of research;
b. Objective & Background - the research done in the paper should revolve around an overall issue sought to be discussed and resolved, and a background to the issue is also to be given, describing the issue at hand, its importance, relevance and topicality;
c. Literature Review - here, reference is to be made to any previous or existing research work on the same issue, wherein the methods used in such previous or existing research have to be described, and the results of such research have to be specified;
d. Research Design & Methodology - here it is required to be specified in detail, as to how the author plans to go about with the research. It may be noted that this section is the most important of all, and requires extra attention. This section would require detailed explanations into how the author aims to address the issues raised in the research. Several questions have to be answered, such as the scope of the research, type of data required, methods of collection of data and the justification for use of said methods, analysis of the data collected, and other ethical issues.
e. Expected Result & Output of study - this section should highlight the expected results of the research, and how the data gathered would answer the research issues, or make generalisations, defend assertions or examine plausible outcomes to construct a plausible argument.
f. Costing & Timelines - lastly, this section should indicate the costing and financial implications for your study. The timelines of the research must be aligned with the schedule of disbursal of grants indicated in the prescribed guidelines.
