SEBI eases norms for foreign investors in IFSC

MUMBAI, JULY 12, 2017: EASING the regulations for the foreign investors the SEBI has made certain amendments in its Circular issued in the month of January, 2017.
As per the latest amendment, an Eligible Foreign Investor, not registered with SEBI as FPI but keen to operate in International Financial Services Centre, has been permitted to carry out due diligence on its own which was not allowed earlier.
EFIs can also rely on due diligence inputs purchased from banks which are allowed by the RBI to operate in IFSC.
